Maris started her career in showbiz through the Kapamilya reality show Pinoy Big Brother. From that, she became one of the most in-demand actresses of her generation. Aside from acting, she also recorded hit songs.

One of the netizens’ favorites was her video reenacting the movie ‘Minsan Lang Kitang Iibigan’ but her version was a low-budget one because she acted in both the protagonist and antagonist roles. She did this while playing the guitar as her musical scoring.

Just recently, the actress-singer once again caught the attention of the online community. Last January 4, she posted two photos of her. In the first photo, she appeared to be thinking about what to write on the paper with a 2024 printed on it. Then, the next photo showed that she appeared to be scribbling something on the paper.

The actress-singer featured the part of the song with the lyrics “iniwan ka na ng eroplan” as they were at the airport.
