“Dahil naman sa northeast monsoon makakaranas rin tayo ng mga kaulapan at pag-ulan sa bahagi ng extreme northern Luzon areas, maaliwalas na panahon ang ating inaasahan sa  Metro Manila and the rest of the country may tsansa naman tayo ng localized thunderstorms,” Weather specialist Daniel James Villamil said.

Amihan will bring partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated light rains over the Ilocos Region, Cordillera Administrative Region, and the rest of Cagayan Valley.

The easterlies and localized thunderstorms will bring similar weather conditions over Metro Manila and the rest of the country.

The weather agency advised the residents in the affected areas to take precautionary measures for possible flash floods or landslides.

Meanwhile, the coastal water condition over Luzon and the eastern section of Visayas will be moderate to tough. The remaining parts of the country will have slight to moderate surrounding sea conditions, according to PAGASA.

Villamil reported that no typhoons are expected for New Year’s Eve and the first few days of 2024.

“Wala pa rin tayong binabantayang low pressure area na posibleng maging bagyo na maaaring makaapekto sa ating bansa bago matapos ang taong ito hanggang sa mga unang araw ng taong 2024,” Villamil said.

No gale warning was raised in any parts of the country, according to Villamil.
