MMFF 2023 AWARDS NIGHT – The winners for this year’s Metro Manila Film Festival has been announced during the “Gabi Ng Parangal”.
The Gabi ng Parangal for the Metro Manila Film Festival 2023 was held on Wednesday. As much as we all know, this year’s film festival has 10 official entries and there’s a tight competition between the major awards.
For this year, one of the entries that received the most number of recognitions is “Gomburza”.
The film received seven awards. These awards are 2nd Best Picture, along with Best Actor for Cedrick Juan and Best Director for Pepe Diokno, Best Cinematography, Best Production Design, Best Sound, and the Gatpuno Antonio J. Villegas Cultural Award.
“Mallari” and “When I Met You In Tokyo” came in second place after it received four awards.
This year’s MMFF 2023 Gabi Ng Parangal jurors is headed by respected director Chito Rono and the others are Lorna Tolentino, Jose Javier Reyes, Mike Sandejas, Usec. Frisco San Juan Jr., Finance Undersecretary Maria Lualhati Dorotan-Tiuseco, Raymond Francisco, Jaime Ang, Lee Briones Meily, Tara Illenberger, and Jerry Olea.
