Alden Richards spoke about his upcoming project with Coco Martin
Asia’s Multimedia Star Alden Richards said how he and Kapamilya actor Coco Martin talked about a possible collaboration.
It was previously reported that Alden and Coco will do a movie for the Metro Manila Film Festival 2024. Initial talks were done but nothing concrete yet has been shared with the public.
In a recent interview, Coco was asked about this. He shared that there was an instant bond between him and Alden even during their first meeting.
Alden Richards did the movie Five Breakups and a Romance this year with Kapamilya actress Julia Montes and this made a way for the Kapuso actor to meet Coco Martin.
When asked about his future project with Coco, Alden said, “Yes po, baka po next year, MMFF.” He shared that since he did the movie with Julia, his bond with the actress and Coco instantly grew.
“Nagulat ako, sinasabi ni Jules na. Sabi ko, ‘Jules, nagugulat ako kay Boss Coco kasi parang ang tagal na niya akong kilala pag nag-uusap kami,” Alden shared. The Kapuso actor also appreciates the advice he received from Coco when it comes to producing and directing.
The Kapamilya actor has ventured into directing and producing for many years now. “Very guided since pinagdaanan na niya tapos parang na-bring up into the table lang po na, sabi ko, ‘Boss Co, sana,’ kasi gusto niya po na magkaroon kami ng project together,” Alden said.
With this, the Kapuso actor suggested that they will do together an MMFF entry next year and Coco Martin agreed with this.
Meanwhile, Alden Richards admitted that he enjoyed the MMFF 2023 Parade of Stars. He said that he missed being sweaty under the sun. He stressed that it is really important that celebrities would make themselves closer to their fans. It is because he understands that for fans, the mere presence of the stars they admire, already means a lot.
