RONALDO VALDEZ DEATH – The veteran actor passes away and as part of the investigation, the people he’s living with will undergo tests.

Quezon City Police District (QCPD) confirmed the death of veteran actor Ronaldo Valdez based on a previous report. The sad news about Ronaldo’s death has broken a lot of hearts and saddened a lot of people.

He was 77 years old and he was a great actor.

Valdez’s cause of death based on the initial report was accordingly self-harm. He was found lifeless in his room with a gunshot wound to his temple. He was holding a gun when he was found in his room.

Valdez was rushed to the hospital but was declared dead on arrival.

P/Cpt. Adhrin Domingo of the Scene of the Crime Operatives from QCPD Forensic Unit shared that a caliber .45 Norinco pistol with serial number 454697 with an inserted empty magazine was recovered. However, this is not the confirmed cause of death yet as they are bound to do further investigation.

As part of the ongoing investigation, everyone in the house of Valdez has to undergo a paraffin test. This is a part of the standard operating procedure for incidents like this which are gun-related and may involve a crime. However, those who will undergo this test do not necessarily mean that they are involved in what happened.

The Paraffin test is a “forensic procedure used to detect the presence of gunpowder residue on a person’s hands”.

The authorities are still waiting for the results of the paraffin and ballistic tests.

Meanwhile, the veteran actor’s son Janno Gibbs issued a statement. He confirmed his father’s death and that their family is pleading for privacy as they go through this grieving and difficult time.

The statement says:

“It is with great sorrow that i confirm my father’s passing. The family would like to request that you respect our privacy in our grieving moment. Your prayers and condolences are much appreciated.”
