Joey de Leon showcased the T-shirt he designed
Henyo Master Joey de Leon explained the 1980 logo of the longest-running noontime show Eat Bulaga that he co-designed.
Joey has proven once again that he rightfully owns the right to use the Eat Bulaga title. He and his fellow hosts Tito and Vic Sotto fought hard for the Eat Bulaga trademark. The issue started when TVJ decided to leave TAPE Inc., the production company behind the noontime show for many years.
However, before the time the show started managing the show, Eat Bulaga was already existing. Despite this fact, TVJ and the legit Dabarkads weren’t able to bring the title when they transferred to TV5.
Just recently, the Intellectual Property Office of the Philippines (IPOPHIL) released a decision in favor of TVJ. However, TAPE is not easily giving up.
Although TVJ has all the right to use the title, they said that out of respect, the other party should refrain from using it already. However, the Kapuso noontime show continued using the title.
In a recent Instagram post, Joey de Leon once again proved his big role in the show that has reached its 44th year. He showcased his shirt with the Eat Bulaga. The Henyo Master said that this was the 1980 logo of the longest-running noontime show.
Joey said that he co-designed this logo. He explained the elements that are included in this. “This is the 1980 Eat Bulaga logo I helped design. Tungkol sa pagsasalita at pagkain—-may dalawang dila at may TILAO o UVULA, yung kuntil sa lalamunan. FYI,” the Henyo Master shared.
Over the years, the show’s logo has undergone several changes. This explanation that Joey had for the logo back in 1980 garnered admiration from many netizens. Some said that he is indeed the Henyo Master for thinking of those details some said that they hope Joey de Leon will make these kinds of shirts available for purchase.
