Suspect Apprehended After Theft of P48K Cash and Gadgets in Cavite Restaurant

A Japanese restaurant in Imus, Cavite, fell victim to thieves who made away with P48,000 in cash and various gadgets. The entire robbery was captured on camera.

Robbery is when someone takes things that don’t belong to them, and it can be a scary and unfair experience for those involved. This happens when a person uses force or threats to take away someone else’s belongings, like money, jewelry, or other valuables.

Recently, CCTV footage captured a man appearing to be anxious as an SUV parked in front of the establishment on Aguinaldo Highway last Saturday. The man approached the SUV, opened the rear, and took some items.

After a few moments, the video showed the man tampering with the closed Japanese restaurant. In another footage, the man was seen taking the restaurant’s earnings from a cash box before stealing several items.

Imus Police reported that the suspects took P48,000 in cash, a laptop, and some cell phones. However, thanks to the CCTV footage, the police authorities were able to identify and locate one of the suspects.

The SUV driver identified as Jesus Renegado, was tracked down and arrested on Monday (December 11, 2023) in Manila. Imus Police mentioned that there might be another accomplice involved in the crime.
