Its members are coming from different employment statuses such as locally-employed individuals, self-employed individuals, and overseas Filipino workers (OFWs). Every month, the Pag-IBIG members remit a certain amount to keep their accounts active and updated in the pursuit of qualification to the loan offers of the government entity. It has a Housing Loan offer, a Multi-Purpose cash loan offer, and a Calamity Loan offer.

How to apply for the Pag-IBIG Calamity Loan? You can do it over-the-counter at a branch of the Fund or online. For locally-employed members, here are the steps in applying for the loan offer over-the-counter:
- Gather your Pag-IBIG Calamity Loan requirements.
- Accomplish the Pag-IBIG Calamity Loan form.
- Write a letter of authorization stating that your HR representative can file on your behalf.
- Submit your requirements and letter to your HR representative.
- Wait for your loan application to be processed.
Self-employed members and other members of the Pag-IBIG Fund may directly submit their loan application form and the other requirements at a branch of the Fund in their city or province. With regards on how to apply for the Pag-IBIG Calamity Loan, here are the steps that you may follow:
- Visit www.pagibigfund.gov.ph for your calamity loan online application.
- Tap Virtual Pag-IBIG, and then click For Members.
- Tick the Data Privacy box and click Proceed.
- Select Apply for and Manage Loans and tap Apply for a Short-term Loan.
- Review the documents needed for the application and then tap Proceed.
- On the Select Loan Type drop-down, choose the calamity loan based on the repayment period/calamity/affected municipality or area.
- Enter your Pag-IBIG membership ID number or MID.
- Tap Validate Your MID No.
- Once your MID number is validated, complete your contact details and click Next.
- Tap OK on the pop-up window asking if you want to proceed with your loan application.
- Tap OK to receive a One-Time PIN (OTP) on your mobile number.
- Type in your OTP and click Proceed.
- Select the type of Cash Card or Loyalty Plus Card you have.
- Enter your card number and click Check Cash Card Status.
- If your card is valid, click Go to Last Step.
- Proceed to upload the scanned copy of your Calamity Loan Application (front and back), your valid ID, and a selfie holding your valid ID.
- Tap OK to submit your application.
- Wait for your reference number to be sent to your registered email and mobile number.
The loan application to the Pag-IBIG Fund may be processed within three (3) to seve(7) working days. Wait for an update from the Fund.
