Around 1:00 on Monday morning (December 11, 2023), the incident happened in a small alley in Purok San Jose Paho, Barangay Alijis. The victim, identified as 19-year-old Angelika Delacena was on her way to work when the suspect apprehended her.
According to Angelika, her parents usually accompany her to work every day. However, on that particular day, her father left a bit late, resulting in her walking alone and becoming a target for the thieves who grabbed the opportunity.
CCTV footage from the area captured the young lady walking with a flashlight and her wallet. Suddenly, a man wearing a white T-shirt and a cap approached her. The man asked her a question but suddenly grabbed her wallet with the cash inside.
In another CCTV clip, two individuals can be seen running away from the scene. The members of the Bacolod Police Station 7 quickly arrived at the location to investigate after the victim reported the incident.
