After the confirmation of Kathryn Bernardo and Daniel Padilla’s breakup, numerous people expressed their reactions. Some have shared their sadness, some their sentiments, and some aired their stand about the reality of relationships.
Several celebrities reacted to KathNiel split and most of them expressed sympathy for the former couple.
On Thursday, Nov. 30, Bernardo and Padilla rocked the local entertainment industry when they released lengthy statements that put an end to the rumors. The current situation, to some fans, marks the end of an era for the country’s biggest love teams.
Expressing her pain as she had been through the same situation is Megastar Sharon Cuneta.
To recall, she was once also a part of a successful team where romance was turned into real life and even gave her KC Concepcion. But just like KathNiel, their relationship in real life did not work out.
Feeling the pain she once had because of a similar situation, the Megastar expressed that the least people can do for the two of them is kindness and respect. The photos they see online are just the surface, no one is aware of what happens behind closed doors but them.
She also reiterated to not take sides just as Kath requested to the people. She also told the fans to be strong and still continue supporting them despite the fallout.
“God bless you, my girl Kath, and you too, DJ. Only you two know what is best for you and everyone else should respect that and not make it their business. I love you both,” the Megastar added.
Meanwhile, the onscreen partner of the Megastar who also became her real-life partner was Gabby Concepcion. They separated in 1987 and since then, pursued successful careers independently. Their fans accepted that it was really over between them when Gabby married Jenny Syquia in June 1993.
Their reunion happened just recently and it happened 30 years after their fallout.
