PAGASA Says Wet Weather Condition to Prevail Over Most Parts of PH

PAGASA LATEST UPDATE – The state weather bureau reported that rainy weather conditions will prevail over most parts of the country.

On Wednesday (November 29, 2023), the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical, and Astronomical Services Administration released the latest weather update in the country. The northeast monsoon and easterlies will affect the country’s weather conditions.

PAGASA weather specialist Grace Castañeda reported that the northeast monsoon will be affecting Northern Luzon while the easterlies will affect Southern Luzon and Visayas. Amihan will bring cloudy skies with rains over the Batanes and Babuyan Islands.

The easterlies will bring cloudy weather conditions with scattered rain showers and thunderstorms over Mainland Cagayan, Isabela, Aurora, Bulacan, Rizal, Laguna, Quezon, Bicol Region, Eastern Visayas, Caraga, and Davao Region.

Possible flash floods or landslides are expected in these areas with moderate to at times heavy rains.

The easterlies and localized thunderstorms will bring partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rain showers or thunderstorms over Metro Manila and the rest of the country.

The remaining parts of the country are expected to experience hot and humid conditions with possible afternoon or evening thunderstorms.

Castañeda said that there is no weather disturbance within the Philippine area of responsibility (PAR). “We are not monitoring any bad weather that will affect our country,” she said.

Flash floods or landslides are possible during severe thunderstorms.

Meanwhile, the coastal water condition over Luzon will be moderate to rough. Visayas and Mindanao will have slight to moderate surrounding sea conditions, according to PAGASA.
