Guide on the Application Period for DOST Scholarship Offers for Undergraduate Students
Here is a guide on the application period for the DOST Scholarship offers of the Department of Science and Technology.
Every year, the Department of Science and Technology or more popularly called DOST sets a specific schedule for the application period for its scholarship offers. Among these are the schedules with regards to the scholarship offers for undergraduate studies.
The DOST got the DOST-SEI Merit scholarships for undergraduate students as well as the scholarships provided by the Republic Act No. 7687 or the Science and Technology Scholarship Act of 1994.
For this year, here is the application period set by the DOST for the application for its scholarship offers and the schedule of the qualifying exam:
- Start of Online Application Period — October 17, 2023
- Last Day of Request for School Inclusion in the E-Application System — December 15, 2023
- Last Day of Application and Uploading of Requirements — December 31, 2023
- Qualifying Examination — April 6-7, 2024
For successful online applications, sometime in February 2024, the DOST will issue the student applicant a Test Permit indicating his/her test center, test session, and the other important information regarding the xam. It will be sent to the student applicant’s email address.
The tenative date for the announcement of the qualifiers for the scholarship offer is June 2024. It will be posted in the official website of the DOST and the government agency will also send the successful applicants a Notice of Award through the registered email address.
Qualifiers of the scholarship examination who wish to avail the grant must attend the orientation on the scholarship policies and sign the Scholarship Agreement to become a DOST-SEI scholar. The scholarship award is effective the First Semester of AY 2024-2025.
