PAGASA Says Easterlies and Shearline to Affect PH Weather Condition

PAGASA LATEST UPDATE – The state weather bureau reported that easterlies and shear line will bring rains over parts of the country.

On Saturday (November 25, 2023), the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical, and Astronomical Services Administration released the latest weather update in the country. The shear line and easterlies will affect the country’s weather conditions.

PAGASA Weather Specialist Patrick Del Mundo reported that the shear line will be affecting the eastern section of Southern Luzon while the easterlies will affect Visayas and Mindanao.

Sa kasalukuyan ay patuloy na umiiral itong shear line ditto sa may silangang bahagi ng Northern Luzon, itong shear line ay salubungan ng malamig na hangin na nagmumula sa amihan at yung mainit naman na hangin mula sa easterlies,” Del Mundo said.

The shear line will bring cloudy skies with scattered rain showers and thunderstorms over Quezon, Laguna, and Bicol Region.

The northeast monsoon will bring cloudy weather conditions with light rains over the Cordillera Administrative Region, Cagayan Valley, and Aurora.

Amihan will bring partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated light rains over Metro Manila, the rest of CALABARZON and Central Luzon, and Ilocos Region.

“Ito namang hanging amihan ay patuloy pa ring nakakaapekto sa nalalabing bahagi ng Luzon at yung easterlies naman ang patuloy na umiiral sa silangang bahagi ng Visayas,” he explained.

The easterlies and the localized thunderstorms will bring similar weather conditions over the remaining parts of the country.

Meanwhile, the coastal water condition over Luzon will be moderate to rough. Visayas and Mindanao will have slight to moderate surrounding sea conditions.

The weather agency advised the residents in the affected areas to take precautionary measures due to moderate to at times heavy rains and severe thunderstorms.

PAGASA also raised a gale warning over Ilocos Norte, Ilocos Sur, Batanes, Cagayan including Babuyan Islands, and Isabela.
