So Paul Soriano isn’t the first boyfriend? In an interview, Eric Fructuoso shares a brief story about his relationship with Toni Gonzaga.
In 2007, a young Toni Gonzaga revealed in an interview that she was in a relationship with director Paul Soriano. They were one month into the relationship when she revealed it and claimed that the director was her first boyfriend who eventually became her husband.
After a seven-year romance, their dating was capped by their wedding which happened in 2015.
However, this doesn’t seem to be the case if this recent revelation from actor Eric Fructuoso should be included. In an interview, Fructuoso admitted that he and Gonzaga have become a couple in the past.
During his appearance on the cooking show “Sarap ‘Di Ba”, he was grilled by show host Carmina Villaroel.
“Hindi ko inexpect yun ah…” he quipped after hearing the question.
He would then go on to reveal that the relationship lasted roughly almost three years. This is the total amount of time they spent from the not-so-serious phase of the relationship down to the time that there was finally a “commitment”.
His relationship with Gonzaga accordingly happened after his relationship with Claudine Barretto.
Asked what caused the ed of both relationship, he said, “Nagising sila sa katotohanan.”

Meanwhile, there are rumors about Toni returning to ABS-CBN circulating online. To recall, during the campaign period of 2022, she resigned from being the host of a Kapamilya reality show.
She and her husband supported the candidacy of the current president but such a move got a lot of people to ridicule and criticize their decision. After the election, she lied low and gave birth to her second baby.
Shortly after, she returned to producing content on her channel.
