On Tuesday (November 14, 2023), the Philippine Atmospheric Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration released the latest weather update in the country.

“This Low Pressure Area is forecast move erratically and may meander near or around its present position in the next 24 hours as it remains highly disorganized. Unfavorable environment may prevent this weather disturbance from significantly organizing during the same period,” PAGASA said.

The LPA and possible shear line will bring heavy rainfall over the eastern portion of Mindanao.

The shear line will bring cloudy weather with scattered rain showers and thunderstorms over Bicol Region, Quezon, Northern Samar, Eastern Samar, and Samar.

The northeast monsoon will bring cloudy skies with rains over Cagayan Valley, Ilocos Norte, and Apayao.

Amihan will bring partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated light rains over Central Luzon, the rest of Ilocos Region, and the rest of the Cordillera Administrative Region.

The shear line and localized thunderstorms will bring similar weather conditions over Metro Manila and the remaining parts of the country.

“Regardless of its development trend, the interaction between this disturbance and a possible shear line related to the forecast surge of the Northeast Monsoon may result in heavy rainfall over the eastern portion of Mindanao beginning on Friday and over Bicol Region and most of Visayas (especially the eastern portion) beginning on Saturday,” the agency added.
