Who is Catherine Camilon?
Beauty queen Catherine Camilon was reported missing by her mother Rosa Camilon and her sister Chin-chin Manguerra Camilon.
She joined the Miss Grand Philippines 2023 representing her province Batangas. Her hometown is Brgy. Rillo, Tuy Municipality. She was bornĀ on January 4, 1997, based on the article in PEP.
She earned aĀ Master of Arts in Education majoring in Educational ManagementĀ (Non-thesis Program) degree from theĀ Batangas State University Pablo Borbon Main Campus. Catherine continued studying under the College of Teacher Education and she graduated on November 25, 2021.
Catherine Camilon earned her license as a teacher and teaches English at theĀ Tuy National High School. She was one of the educators who received the Ā Best Brigada Eskwela Program ImplementerĀ certificate from theĀ Gawad Tanglaw, or Gawad Tagapuring mga Akademisyan ng Aninong Gumagalaw. She is known as an avid badminton player.
She started her pageant journey in her province. Catherine was hailed as the Binibining Batangas QuarantineĀ contest in 2020. She was promoting public service amid the pandemic.
Then she became a finalist in theĀ Miss Fit Philippines 2022Ā competition. On July 13, 2023, she joined her first national pageant, the Miss Grand Philipines.
Aside from her beauty pageant stints, Catherine was also a model and a talent of Balisong Channel, the first online media company in Batangas. The latest project she did with the said company was a seasonal video in 2021 titledĀ Itutuloy Natin Ang Pasko.
To recall, Catherine’s mom said that the last time she talked to her daughter, the beauty queen said that she would go to Balisong Channel. However, the online media company clarified in a statement that Catherine Camilon’s last visit to their office was in 2021 and that they have no recent collaboration.
Based on the recent update about the disappearance of the beauty queen, two witnesses surfaced and claimed that they saw a bloodied Catherine being transferred from her car to another.
