Celebrities Kylie Padilla and Aljur Abrenica got married at Villa Milagros, Rizal, on December 11, 2018. They had been together for a long time before getting married but two sons and two and half years of marriage after, they separated.
In July 2021, Kylie’s father, Robin Padilla, confirmed their separation candidly in an interview.
The separation was due to a third-party issue on Aljur’s part. Aljur owned up to cheating on Kylie and added that other issues contributed to the breakdown of their marriage. Recalling the falling apart of their marriage, Kylie became emotional in an interview with Boy Abunda.
In the latest episode of Fast Talk With Boy Abunda, she expressed these questions, “Bakit nagbabago? Why does the love change? So many promises and then biglang…”
According to her claims, it appears that Aljur has fallen short in some aspects of their marriage. What she learned from this experience, though, is that she should have left a little for herself because she gave her all for the relationship.
“Inubos ko and nauwi rin sa hiwalayan. Galing ako sa broken family so ayokong matulad like… I hate it when people say, ‘Artista yan, papalit-palit lang. That’s their life. Ganoon talaga ang style ng mga artista when it comes to relationship.’ But people don’t know how much it hurt me. It’s very unfair and I wanted more for my kids talaga,” she said.
She then furthered that she doesn’t believe in marriage to begin with but because of her children, she did it anyway because she wanted to give them a whole family. But after everything that has happened, there was not a single regret on her part because because her kids have a good relationship with their father.
For the sake of their children, she still wants to be friends with her ex-husband based on her statement in the interview with Abunda.
