BIR BRANCH BUSINESS REGISTRATION REQUIREMENTS 2023 – Here is a list of the documents that you need to submit in registering a new branch of your business.

Did your franchise a branch of an existing business or you want to expand your own business? You need to register the new branch of your business to the Bureau of Internal Revenue or more popularly called BIR.

The Bureau of Internal Revenue is the tax-collecting body in the Philippines. A business operating in the Philippines must be registered for a legal operation. Operating a business without permits and registration may lead to penalties and closure of your business.

The requirements in registering a business to BIR varies. It depends on the owner status of the business.

There is are different sets of BIR Business Registration requirements 2023 for sole proprietors, BIR Business Registration requirements for cooperatives and associations, BIR Business Registration Requirements for corporations and partnerships, and BIR branch business registration requirements.

Here are the documents that you need to prepare and submit to BIR to register a branch of an existing business:

  • For individual, prepare BIR Form No. 1901 version January 2018
  • For non-individual, prepare BIR Form No. 1903 version January 2018
  • BIR Printed Receipt/Invoice or Final & clear sample of OWN Principal Receipts Invoices
  • Payment of P530.00 if applicable for the following:
    • P500.00 Annual Registration Fee (RF)
    • P30.00 Loose Stamp/s (DST) to be affixed on the Certificate of Registration

The BIR may be requesting for additional documents on a case-to-case basis. Here are the possible additional requirements in registering a branch of a business:

  • DTI Certificate or SEC Registration Certificate (if with business name and for Branch only)
  • Articles of Incorporation/Partnership (if line of business is different from the Head Office). (for Branch only)
  • Franchise Documents
  • Franchise Agreement
  • Memorandum of Agreement
  • Certificate of Authority, if Barangay Micro Business Enterprises (BMBE) registered entity
  • Proof of Registration/Permit to Operate BOI/BOI-ARMM, PEZA, BCDA, TIEZA/TEZA, SBMA, etc.

  • If transacting through a Representative:
    • For individual:
      • Special Power of Attorney (SPA)
      • any government-issued ID of the authorized representative
    • For non-individual:
      • Board Resolution indicating the purpose and the name of the authorized representative or Secretary‘s Certificate
      • any government-issued ID of the authorized representative
