4Ps, Other Gov’t Projects Used For Vote-Buying: So Disgusting!

Even 4Ps are being promised by candidates just to get the votes they need

It is disgusting to hear reports stating that the 4Ps or the Pantawid Pamilyang Pilipino Program and other government projects are being used to persuade voters.

This program is under the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) and is considered a human capital development program. Through this, the government invests in the health, nutrition, and education of poor households to break the intergenerational cycle of poverty among them.

Based on the report from Inquirer, DSWD warned voters not to be persuaded by the promises of candidates of barangay elections, including those who claim they could make them beneficiaries of certain government programs for the poor.

4ps

It was said that the Assistance to Individuals in Crisis Situation or AICS program of the government, including 4Ps, and other projects that aim to give financial assistance are being used by political candidates in the Barangay and SK elections.

Sa atin pong mga kababayan, kahit sino pong mangako sa inyo na kayo’y mapapasama sa 4Ps program, malamang hindi ho magkatotoo ‘yan,” DSWD Media Forum, Assistant Secretary Romel Lopez said.

Lopez also stressed that only DSWD personnel can assess if a family is fit to be a beneficiary of this program.

The guts of these political candidates to use the money they never worked for. Shame on you if you blatantly fool the poor just to get the vote you need.

Voters should be wiser in identifying who really wants to serve the people and never give a chance to those who are just waiting for the perfect opportunity to take advantage of other people’s weaknesses.

These political candidates who reportedly using 4Ps to gain votes in the coming elections should be named. They are not yet in the position or trying to retain themselves in their position but they are already doing corruption.

They are not elected yet, how much more they can get from the public funds, just in case they win?
