22-Year-Old Woman in Caloocan Traumatized After Allegedly Threatened by Tricycle Driver
A tricycle driver allegedly threatened and attempted to assault a 22-year-old woman in Bagong Silang, Caloocan City.
On Wednesday (October 11, 2023), a 22-year-old woman was left traumatized after she was allegedly threatened with an ice pick and subjected to an attempted assault by a tricycle driver in Barangay 176, Bagong Silang, North Caloocan.
In the video, a young woman can be seen screaming for help. After a few moments, the tricycle sped away from the scene.
According to the female victim, she had boarded the tricycle on her way to work, but the tricycle driver requested a brief detour to pick up his sister. The woman began to feel uneasy when the tricycle driver stopped in a dimly lit area.
“Akala ko nu’ng hininto niya ‘yung tricycle susunduin niya ‘yung ate niya. Nagulat ako may kinuhang ice pick. Tinutukan na niya ako ng ice pick tapos sinabi niya parang ‘yun lang naman daw ‘yung balak niya wala naman daw mangyayari kung makikipag-cooperate. Hanggang sa nagmakaawa na ako. Hindi na ako lumalaban kasi siyempre ice pick ‘yung nakatutok sa akin,” the victim said.
At that point, the driver allegedly touched the victim inappropriately and attempted to remove her shorts, but unfortunately, he dropped the ice pick he was holding.
“Tiniyempuhan ko lang na habang busy siya sa paghahanap bigla akong nagpumiglas sa kaniya sabay takbo. Trauma talaga… sakit. Parang takot bumiyahe mag-isa. Nakaka-trauma magtiwala ulit sa gano’ng driver,” she added.
The incident has been reported to the local barangay, and the authorities are currently searching for the suspect who is accused of attempting to assault the victim.
