The Movie and Television Review and Classification Board (MTRCB) issued on September its decision to suspend the noontime show It’s Showtime for 12 airing days. Motions for reconsideration have been submitted but the appeals of Showtime were denied by the MTRCB.
ABS-CBN released a statement after the denial. According to the producer, they will no longer appeal to the Office of the President. Showtime will serve the suspension for 12 days but the network stressed that despite following the order, they insist that no law has been violated.
