A lady netizen goes viral after sharing about her father’s touching preparation that left everyone deeply moved.
Shirly Santos-Azur, a Facebook user, shared a heartwarming photo of her father’s preparation for his ‘pamburol’. The post immediately spread like wildfire online and garnered various reactions from the internet users.
Azur was preparing for her father’s belongings for his upcoming confinement in the hospital when she stumbled upon that photo in his drawer. Her father, Godofredo Cruz Santos had developed water in his lungs.
“Magaayos ako ng gamit ni Tatay in preparation sa confinement niya kasi nagkaroon siya ng water sa lungs. Tapos nakita ko ang photo niya na yan sa drawer niya pag-open ko,” Shirly said.
The lady netizen becomes emotional while gathering her dad’s things for his hospital stay. She couldn’t help but cry and pretended to laugh because she didn’t want her dad to see it.
“Mixed emotion po ako, kumukuha ako ng gamit ni Tatay para gagamitin niya sa hospital nang makita ko yun. Naiiyak ako pero di ko pinaramdam kay Tatay kaya kunwari natatawa ako. Sabi ko ‘hala Tay naghahanda ka na.’ Feeling ko hinanda niya po iyon nung kasagsagan ng pandemic,” Azur added.

According to Shirly, her father passed away on September 5, 2023. The embalmer couldn’t forget her father because that very same photo was used for his wake. She gave it to him as it was, just the way her father had prepared it.
