Anti-Lewd Group KSMBP Files Criminal Cases Against Actress Angeli Khang Over Alleged Explicit Content on Social Media

Anti-lewd group KSMBP files criminal cases against Vivamax actress Angeli Khang over alleged explicit content on social media.

The Kapisanan ng Social Media Broadcasters ng Pilipinas (KSMBP), has taken legal action by filing six counts of criminal cases against Filipino-Korean actress Angeli Khang. The charges stem from what the group claims are explicit content posted on her verified social media account.

KSMBP’s move is part of their broader mission to pursue legal action against content creators and producers responsible for lewd material, both on television and social media platforms.

The group stressed their commitment to fighting moral decay and the increase of explicit content on social media in a statement. They urged the country’s silent majority to join them in solving these issues.

‘We are appealing to the members of our country’s silent majority to wake up and join our crusade vs moral decay and anarchy in social media,’ the group said.

The charges filed against Angeli Khang are based on Article 201 of the Revised Penal Code, which pertains to offenses related to obscenity, and the Cybercrime Law (R.A. 11075).

The group has indicated that their legal action marks the beginning of a campaign targeting Vivamax A-listers, with Khang as the initial focus. Next week, they will file charges against Vivamax actresses including AJ Raval, Ayanna Misola, and Azi Acosta.

The group’s leaders, including KSMBP Secretary-General Bernie Miaque and their legal counsel Atty. Mark Tolentino, has actively engaged with Pasay City Fiscal authorities to pursue these charges.

The case filed by KSMBP represents a concerted effort to address concerns surrounding explicit content and its impact on social media.
