MOTHER AND SON – A college student goes viral and elicits reactions online after sharing a conversation with his mom.
Jase Michael, A Facebook user, shared a screenshot with his mother. The post immediately circulated online and garnered various reactions from the internet users.
In the photo, Michael shared a simple chat conversation with his mother. He had recently taken two consecutive quizzes in Organic Chemistry (CHEM 40), where he received scores of 1/15 and 2/15.
However, when his mother casually inquired about his results, he didn’t expect the response he received. His mother’s response was different from what he had expected. Instead of the usual encouragement, she provided a straightforward answer.
“Nangumusta lang si mama kung ano na ganap ko ngayon ganun—the usual. Then ayun, napakwento ako na 1/15 at 2/15 ako sa magkasunod na quizzes sa CHEM 40 (Organic Chemistry). ‘Di ko in-expect na ganon sagot ni mama T___T. Kala ko ‘bawi na lang next time’ sasabihin niya kasi ‘yun naman pa lagi niyang reply. PERO YON, NAGULAT AKO NA NI-REAL TALK AKO THIS TIME. Though normal naman sa amin yun kasi chill lang mama ko as in. Walang pressure sa bahay at supportive lang, kaya ganon lang talaga biruan namin,” Michael said.
Michael’s initial reaction was a simple “HA” followed by an “ouch,” signifying that he hadn’t expected his mother’s response to be so brutally honest.

“Una kong reaction ay ‘HA’ tapos ‘ouch. Lagi namang supportive mama ko sa lahat pero iba na ata yung nakilala kong mama T_____T. Totoo naman kasi ‘di ako masyado nag-rereview maigi pero ang sakit pala ng katotohanan. Pero syempre, walang makakapigil sakin (kahit mama ko), nababagsak ko pa rin yung quizzes ko ngayon. Ganito talaga nangyayari sa mga fini-freestyle lang ang buhay,” he added.
