Jiro Manio is a Filipino actor known for his role in the popular film “Magnifico” in 2003. He won the Best Child Actor award at the Filipino Academy of Movie Arts and Sciences Awards (FAMAS) for his impressive acting skills.
In 2015, the actor went viral online after the comedy queen Ai-Ai delas Alas supported and placed him in a rehabilitation program to break free from his vices and reclaim his life.
Unfortunately, despite several attempts at rehabilitation, he continued to make headlines for controversial incidents, resulting in a break in communication between him and Ai-Ai delas Alas.
In 2020, the Pinoy celebrity engaged in a physical altercation leading to his imprisonment but was released after paying bail. He has undergone a remarkable transformation in his life after battling drug addiction.
Recently, Kapamilya news anchor Julius Babao took an interest in checking on Jiro’s condition after he successfully completed his rehabilitation and was now working as a co-facilitator at the same rehabilitation center where he had once been a patient.
The 31-year-old personality gave a tour of the rehabilitation center and shared his journey to recovery. He also promised not to use drugs again and to refrain from returning to his vices anymore.
However, Jiro didn’t disclose whether he had plans to return to showbiz, and he expressed his desire to contribute to the rehabilitation center’s mission.
