Bacolod Restaurant Calls Out Vloggers Charging Businesses in Exchange for Promotion
NEGROS OCCIDENTAL – A Bacolod restaurant called out the vloggers requesting freebies from them for promotion.
Nowadays, influencers and vloggers have become powerful tools for businesses looking to expand their reach. However, a recent incident involving a restaurant in Bacolod City points out the need for a fair and respectful collaboration between businesses and content creators.
Bunny Café PH, a Facebook page, attempted to address an issue they’ve been facing with vloggers who approached them seeking free transportation and food in exchange for promoting the establishment on their vlogs.

The restaurant clarified that they would not be providing freebies for such promotions. The establishment refers to a vlogger who had requested complimentary meals and also expected the restaurant to cover their transportation expenses.
The business expects authentic support from content creators who want to help small businesses like theirs do so by making a purchase and sharing their experiences through vlogging.
The establishment’s sentiments received overwhelmingly positive responses from their fans and supporters. Other businesses reiterated that influencers should refrain from requesting freebies and charging fees for promotion, as they already generate income from their videos.

“We do not support Vlogger or vlog endorsements, no matter how famous you are in the whole of Negros Occidental, if the exchange is that we pay for your transportation to and from, and then serve you all of our best-sellers from the menu. If you truly want to help small businesses like ours, you should support our business by making a purchase and vlogging about your experience. Instead of taking advantage, we would appreciate Vloggers who willingly spend from their own pockets to buy from us and vlog about us, rather than expecting free food and drinks in exchange for a vlog. Thank you.”
