Maricel Soriano has another moniker, aside from Diamond Star
Diamond Star Maricel Soriano was surprised that people were also calling her “Taray Queen”.
Maricel earned the Diamond Star moniker for her acting prowess. She is known for her caliber in delivering a dramatic scene. She is also known for her “sampal.” There are many celebrities who had a memorable experience having the slap scene with her. Previously, celebrities shared their stories about being slapped by Maricel.
Many younger artists also aspire to work with her. Aside from her Diamond Star tag, she is also being called the “Taray Queen.”
In a recent interview for the Pira-Pirasong Paraiso series, Maricel Soriano shared that she really prayed to have more projects after the long break that she had, based on the article in Bandera.
“Hindi na ako nawawala ngayon kasi alam ko na ang daan. Pinag-pray ko kasi. Sabi ko, ‘Lord, I want to be responsible again.’ Kaya dapat meron ako ginagawa,” she shared. Maricel also said that it is good that there she can make other people laugh and cry. There are also people who understands her and she likes this.
For her, this is an answered prayer. During the press conference, she was asked about the “Taray Queen” tag.
She admitted that she does not know people are using this tag on her. Maricel gave the probable reason why she had this moniker. She said that it is perhaps because she is a straightforward person.
“Nu’ng araw kasi diretso ako kausap. Kung ano tanong, yun ang sagot. Kaya sabi nila, ‘ay mataray itong babaeng ito.’ Bakit kaya ako tinawag na mataray e sinabi ko lang naman yung totoo,” the Diamond Star said.
Aside from acting, Maricel Soriano is also giving entertainment to her fans through her vlogging. She has her personal YouTube channel in which she shows the other side of her.
