Phivolcs Releases Bulletin about the Earthquake Today in Oriental Mindoro, September 18, 2023
EARTHQUAKE – The Phivolcs recorded a 4.7 magnitude quake in Oriental Mindoro, September 18, 2023.
Following the 4.9 magnitude earthquake in Occidental Mindoro early yesterday, another significant quake was recently recorded by the Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology (Phivolcs) in its neighboring province. The quake hit Oriental Mindoro. According to the agency, it has a magnitude of 4.7.

According to Phivolcs, the earthquake that hit a part of Oriental Mindoro was located at 13.01°North, 121.07°East – 029 km South 50° West of Victoria. It had a depth of focus of 004 kilometers.
Phivolcs stated in its bulletin that damages are not expected from the said quake as well as aftershocks. According to the quake-recording agency, no intensity was recorded at the epicenter of the quake as well as the nearby areas. Instrumental Intensity III was logged in Nabunturan, Davao de Oro.
