Barbie Forteza talked about her onscreen partner
Kapuso actress Barbie Forteza revealed what she discovered in her loveteam partner actor David Licauco.
Barbie and David’s tandem, known as BarDa is a big hit nowadays. From their unexpected onscreen partnership in the defunct Kapuso primetime series Maria Clara at Ibarra, fans continue the support their new series Maging Sino Ka Man.
In a recent interview, based on the article in PEP, Barbie shared that there are things she discovered in David that she did not know when they did the MCAI.
David Licauco played the role of Fidel in the said series. His wardrobe was the usual elite outfit at that time. Barbie Forteza shared that when they were doing MCAI, she never saw her onscreen partner wearing slippers.
“Ever since pala kasi na magkatrabaho kami, never siyang nag-tsinelas! So dito sa Maging Sino Ka Man, since lagi siyang naka-tsinelas, nun ko lang nakita yung mga paa niya. Ang cute pala ng daliri niya sa paa,” the actress said, adding that David’s feet are clean and neat.
Meanwhile, Barbie admitted that doing a dual role in this project was quite a challenge for her. She had to focus on the characterization and the nuances of each character. It was also a challenge for her to change her looks on the set.
“I need to commend our assistant director dahil kinu-consider niya yung effort ko pag nagpapalit ako ng look from Monique to Dino or Dino to Monique,” the actress said.
Barbie Forteza also said that this series is physically demanding. She has to be ready always for the action scenes. She said that she is “lampa” and she is not used to doing this kind of genre. With this, it is indeed a big challenge for her.
Previously, Barbie and David received praise from Megastar Sharon Cuneta who did the original movie in which the series was based.
