Previously, TAPE Inc. confirmed that it was able to gain access to the YT channel of the noontime show. However, TVJ’s camp stressed that they are the owner of the channel. The trio’s legal counsel said that they are preparing to file a case against TAPE.
In a recent interview, based on the article in Inquirer, TAPE lawyer Maggie Abraham-Garduque said that it is impossible that they will be accused of hacking the account.
“TAPE cannot hack its own account. TAPE is the owner of the account and YouTube’s record confirms that,” the lawyer said. She also shared photos of the registration to Google of the production company.
Google is the mother company of YouTube. The lawyer also stressed that TAPE is the registered owner of the YT channel of the noontime show. Garduque cited that former TAPE employee Therese Angeli Diaz is the account’s “administrator” and that she did this on behalf of the production company.

“From here it is clear that Ms. Diaz merely made the account for and [on] behalf of TAPE. Thus, when she resigned, TAPE has to assign a new employee as administrator of the account via board resolution to be submitted to YouTube,” the lawyer said.
The TAPE’s legal counsel said that a “registered owner” should be tagged as the owner of the particular account and that YouTubers know about this.
