Ruru Madrid shared this experience when he was in Grade 5
Kapuso actor Ruru Madrid revealed that he courted his Grade 5 teacher and he did this for one week.
Ruru is currently in a relationship with Kapuso actress Bianca Umali. Their sweetness toward each other can be seen on their social media pages. The Kapuso couple has been very vocal about their affection for each other.
However, in a previous interview, Ruru shared that his first crush in showbiz was actress Yassi Pressman who is his leading lady in the series Black Rider. They also did the movie Video City under Viva Films.
During a recent media conference for their movie, Ruru Madrid shared a memory of when he was a young boy. Since the movie is a travel to the 90s memory lane, the actor shared one of the most memorable things he did when he was in Grade 5.
Based on the article in Bandera, Ruru shared that he courted his teacher back then. The actor said that he was serious.
“‘Yung sa akin po, teacher ko nu’ng grade 5 tapos nililigawan ko siya talaga. As in, totoong ligaw, like nag-iipon ako ng pera tapos reregaluhan ko siya ng bulaklak, tapos nu’ng sinabi niya sa akin, ‘Sorry, I’m taken. Ikakasal na ako,’ nawalan na ako ng hope,” the actor shared.
This lasted for one week. Ruru would give his teacher flowers. When the last day arrived, as he was the one assisting his teacher with her bags, the reality struck him. “Nu’ng kami na lang naiwan (sa room) tinapat ko na siya. Sabi ko, ‘Ma’am, ma’am pwede bang maging tayo na? Kasi isang linggo na akong nanliligaw sa ‘yo.’ Tapos bigla niyang sinabi, ‘Sorry, I’m taken,’” he shared.
Ruru shared that his Grade 5 teacher was really beautiful but she was just simple. He also said that even though he would be showy or vocal about his feelings for her, she opted not to put him in a shameful situation.
