PAGASA Releases Latest Weather Update for Wednesday (September 6, 2023)
PAGASA LATEST UPDATE – The state weather bureau reported that Ineng exits PAR but the enhanced habagat will bring rains over parts of the country.
On Wednesday (September 6, 2023), the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical, and Astronomical Services Administration released the latest weather update in the country. Tropical depression Ineng and enhanced habagat will affect the country’s weather conditions.
PAGASA reported that Ineng was last located 1,240 kilometers east-northeast of the extreme Northern Luzon region, outside PAR. However, Ineng and Hanna are intensifying the southwest monsoon.
Ineng has maximum sustained winds of 55 kilometers per hour with gusts of up to 70 kph. It is moving in a north-northeastward direction at a speed of 20 kph.
The enhanced habagat is expected to bring occasional rains to the western portions of Northern and Central Luzon over the next three days.
The trough of Ineng will bring cloudy weather conditions with scattered rain showers and thunderstorms over Batanes, Abra, Apayao, Cagayan, and Isabela. Similar weather condition is expected over Metro Manila, Calabazon, Mimaropa, the rest of Central Luzon, and the rest of the Cordillera Administrative Region.
The monsoon will bring occasional rains over Ilocos Region, Zambales, and Bataan. It will also bring partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rain showers or thunderstorms over the remaining parts of the country.
Meanwhile, the coastal water conditions over the northern and western sections of Luzon will be rough. The rest of Luzon, Visayas, and Mindanao will have moderate to rough surrounding sea conditions, according to the weather bureau.
Currently, there are no weather disturbances detected within the country’s vicinity.
“Sa ngayon po wala na tayong bagyong mino-monitor sa loob ng PAR, wala rin tayong mino-monitor na iba pang low pressure area kaya posible po at least in the next two days maliit ang tiyansa na magka-bagyo tayo hanggang sa pagtatapos ng linggong ito,” PAGASA weather specialist Obet Badrina said.
