Barbie Forteza talked about her humble beginning in showbiz
Kapuso actress Barbie Forteza revealed that she was a “suki” in auditions before making it big in the entertainment industry.
Barbie is one of the top actresses of her generation right now. She has proven her versatility. The Kapuso star can do drama and comedy. Her recent project Maria Clara at Ibarra caught the attention of many fans and this even hyped up her career.
Before reaching the showbiz status that she has now, Barbie was also one of those celebrities who went through a lot of auditions.
In a recent interview, based on the article in GMA Entertainment, Barbie Forteza recalled the time when she was starting her acting career. She shared that her first acting coach was her mom.
The Kapuso actress also shared that she was “suki” in auditions as she was grabbing every opportunity that would pave her way to stardom. Barbie recalled a particular time when her mom told her to present a different acting in an audition. Because of that technique, she got the part.
“Naalala ko po ‘yun kasi nag-audition ako for TV project, tapos magkakahelera po kaming mga bata. Binigyan kami ng script… So nag-isip ‘yung nanay ko kung paano namin iibahin… Bagalan mo ang delivery… ibahin natin, bagalan mo, diinan mo. Tapos, nakuha ako,” the actress shared.
When asked about her acting process, Barbie said that she would study the character first so that when she reads the script, she is already in character. For her, this is an easy flow as she familiarizes her character first.
Barbie Forteza has a new series with her loveteam partner David Licauco. It is the TV adaptation of the 1990s movie Maging Sino Ka Man of Megastar Sharon Cuneta and action star Robin Padilla. Previously, Barbie shared her reaction to the praise that the BarDa loveteam received from the Megastar.
