Carla Abellana Wedding Cake: Supplier Speaks About Its Uniqueness

The cake supplier for the wedding of Carla Abellana has this to say about their unique creation.

CARLA ABELLANA WEDDING CAKE – Amid the banters online, the supplier explained the unique design of the cake.

Actually, a popular wedding trend among couples now is a slab cake. Previously, at Carla Abellana and Dr. Reginald Santos’ Tagaytay wedding on December 27, 2025, one of the highlights of the event was their minimalist rectangular wedding cake.

Janus Del Prado made fun of it, but was criticized for tirades. Del Prado joked that Abellana and Santos’ wedding cake looked like a coffin, adding that it was a cake meant for the dead.

Because of this, the slab cake created a loud buzz online and prompted the supplier to speak.

In a report from PEP, Cake Studio, the Cavite-based bakery behind the cake, addressed the different reactions. While they embrace the feedback, they are putting their focus on what truly matters: the happiness of the couple and their guests.

The design of the cake is a reflection of the couple’s simple yet elegant taste. What matters most for them is the satisfaction of every customer.

“Generally, people will always have different takes on things. But in the end, what makes a difference is the reaction and satisfaction of our clients whom our cakes are made for,” the supplier said.

Regarding the slab cake, they shared their insights about it and stressed that the style was a modern take on traditional wedding cakes. Carla’s wedding cake was the 8th that they did since introducing the concept at the Kasalang Tagaytay Festival in September 2025.

Slab cakes are popular for their unique look and personalization options, ranging from fresh florals and mixed berries to simpler styles. The additions depend on the couple’s preference. It also offers practical advantages, such as being easier to slice and share with guests.

“All in all, our mission is and has always been to provide our clients the best of our products, satisfying their needs and enhancing the core of their life’s celebration,” Cake Studio concluded.
