Class Suspensions for Monday (September 4, 2023) Due to Bad Weather Condition

WALANG PASOK – Various local government units have declared class suspensions in several areas due to the adverse weather condition.

In recent days, Typhoon Hanna has brought inclement weather condition in different parts of the country. Hanna was last located 265 km northwest of Itbayat, Batanes or in the vicinity of Kaohsiung City.

The typhoon packs maximum sustained winds of 120 kilometers per hour and gustiness of up to 165 kph. It is moving south southwestward slowly. Hanna is expected to leave the Philippine Area of Responsibility within the next six to 12 hours.

Class Suspensions

The typhoon enhances the southwest monsoon, which triggered heavy rains and strong winds. A gale warning was raised for the seaboards of Northern Luzon, the western and southern seaboards of Luzon, and the western seaboard of Visayas.

The enhanced habagat also causes flood and landslides in various areas. To ensure the well-being of students, teachers, and staff, several localities have decided to cancel classes on Monday, September 4, 2023.
