Mike Enriquez Funeral – The family of the late broadcaster had this emotional moment as he was laid to rest on Sunday, September 3, 2023.

The broadcast industry mourned the death of one of the pillars of news and current affairs in the Philippines. Mike Enriquez‘s death was announced on August 29. This happened on the Kapuso primetime news program 24 Oras where he was a news anchor for many years.

During the announcement, Mike’s colleague Vicky Morales broke down on national TV. She could not contain her emotion at that time as she had been working with the late broadcaster for quite a long time. He was survived by his wife Elizabeth Yumping.

Mike’s family allowed the public viewing and this was scheduled on Sept. 2, from 8:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. Several showbiz, and news and current affairs personalities were also seen showing sympathy to Mike’s family.

The funeral took place on Sept. 3. Mike Enriquez was laid to rest at Loyola Memorial Park in Marikina City, based on the article in GMA News Online. Loved ones and friends of the late broadcaster did not mind the heavy rain just to attend his funeral.

Earlier, a funeral mass was held at the Christ the King Parish Church in Greenmeadows, Quezon City. This was attended by his colleagues and GMA executives. Supporters and fans of the late broadcaster also witnessed his last moments.

Mike Enriquez’s funeral convoy passed by his house in White Plains Subdivision in Quezon City. At the gate, his pet dogs were brought out to witness the funeral.

On GMA News’s Instagram Page, this emotional video was shared. The family of the late broadcaster had this tear-jerker moment.

“Pamilya ng beteranong broadcaster na si Mike Enriquez, nagkaroon ng huling pagkakataon masilayan ang kaniyang mga labi bago siya ilibing sa Loyola Memorial Park sa Marikina City,” the caption of the post stated.
