During the announcement, Mike’s colleague Vicky Morales broke down on national TV. She could not contain her emotion at that time as she had been working with the late broadcaster for quite a long time. He was survived by his wife Elizabeth Yumping.

The funeral took place on Sept. 3. Mike Enriquez was laid to rest at Loyola Memorial Park in Marikina City, based on the article in GMA News Online. Loved ones and friends of the late broadcaster did not mind the heavy rain just to attend his funeral.

Earlier, a funeral mass was held at the Christ the King Parish Church in Greenmeadows, Quezon City. This was attended by his colleagues and GMA executives. Supporters and fans of the late broadcaster also witnessed his last moments.

Mike Enriquez’s funeral convoy passed by his house in White Plains Subdivision in Quezon City. At the gate, his pet dogs were brought out to witness the funeral.
