14-Year-Old Student Stabs Grade 12 Inside School Premises Due to Altercation

A 14-year-old student stabbed his grade 12 schoolmate inside a school in Quezon City on the first day of classes.

The incident took place in a school located in Barangay Tatalon, Quezon City. The victim, a Grade 12 student, was walking with his younger sibling in the school when they accidentally bumped into the suspect.

The suspect kicked the victim due to the accidental collision, which resulted in an altercation. The victim, in their account of the incident, claimed that the suspect confronted them aggressively.

Sabi niya, mayabang ka ba, nangga-gangster ka ba dito. Sabi ko, pasensya na hindi naman sinasadya. E madami pong tao no’n, siksikan po kaya nabangga ko po siya, tapos binugbog niya po ako. Hinawakan niya po yung damit ko sabay sinakal niya po,” the suspect said.

After the incident, school authorities summoned both parties to the guidance office, but only the victim and his mother arrived.

Following the school day, the suspect explained, “Eh nandilim po ‘yung paningin ko kaya ko siya nasaksak e. Sobrang galit ko po.”

The suspect’s family has expressed willingness to reconcile with the victim. However, the victim remains determined to press charges against the suspect.

The incident points out the urgent need for measures to prevent such incidents from occurring in the future as well as ensuring the safety and security of students within educational institutions.
