Vice Ganda does not want another issue
Unkabogable Star Vice Ganda has this reaction to a woman who greeted her “kabit” on national TV.
Vice has been doing live shows for more than a decade already. He is one of the main hosts of the Kapamilya noontime show It’s Showtime. It is known to many that these past weeks, the show has become controversial.
The Movie and Television Review and Classifications Board summoned the show’s producer for the cake scene that Vice and his partner Ion Perez had in the show.
Then, when Chinita Princess Kim Chiu mentioned an “inappropriate” word, fans of the show were worried that they might be summoned again by the MTRCB because of this.
In a recent episode of the show, based on the article in Bandera, Vice Ganda expressed that he does not want another issue. It is because of a statement from a female contestant.
During the segment Rampanalo, a female has a controversial shoutout. “Shoutout sa asawa ko… ay sa kabit ko, sorry,” she said. This did not sit well with the Unkabogable Star.
“Uy, no! Hindi natin sina-shoutout ’yun. That’s very wrong. Okay. Hindi ipinagmamalaki ’yan ate,” Vice stressed. The female contestant immediately apologized. However, Vice pointed out that the said word is not good, especially since their program is a noontime show.
“Ano ka ba, ang dami na naming issue, dadagdag ka pa. Babu!” Vice Ganda said, adding that they do not normalize and romanticize being a “kabit” or having a “kabit.”
Meanwhile, in a previous episode, Vice reprimanded a father with 12 children. The comedian-host pointed out that parents should not allow themselves to have a lot of kids when they can’t support all of them. He also highlighted the value of knowing the welfare of the children.
