Police Authorities Arrest 4 Close Friends for Allegedly Stealing Motorcycle in QC

The police authorities arrested four close friends for allegedly stealing parked motorcycles in Quezon City.

The suspects were placed behind bars as they face charges of motorcycle theft in Barangay Commonwealth, Quezon City. Their arrest follows multiple complaints from residents who reported missing motorcycles that had been parked outside their homes.

The first to be apprehended was Chuck Garcia in Barangay Commonwealth, who was also found in possession of a loaded firearm. Following his arrest, he named his alleged accomplices – Bryan Patrick Mamplata, Regie Francisco, and Ryan Ilig – who were apprehended in Rodriguez, Rizal.

The trio had reportedly stolen several motorcycles, all of which were successfully recovered. The suspects had been in trouble with the authorities prior to the incident.

Investigations have revealed that the four men were part of a larger group responsible for motorcycle thefts in both Rodriguez, Rizal, and Quezon City. Garcia and his friends are currently facing charges for their involvement in the motorcycle thefts.

Meanwhile, the larger group is believed to be associated with the notorious Sputnik Gang involved in criminal activities such as car theft, illegal gambling, robbery, theft, and illegal possession of bladed weapons.

The arrested individuals have been charged with violations of the New Anti-Carnapping Act. Additionally, Garcia faces charges related to the Comprehensive Firearms and Ammunition Regulation Act, given his possession of a loaded firearm.
