Mike Enriquez Death – GMA Network released a statement on the passing of the multi-awarded journalist.

The world of news and current affairs in the Philippines was shocked by the sad news about the death of Mike Enriquez. He was known as one of the news anchors on GMA’s primetime news program. His public service program Imbestigator was also top-rated.

On August 29, the sad news broke out about Mike’s death at 71. Following this, reports surfaced about the health problems that he suffered from.

In line with Mike’s death, GMA Network issued a statement that was shared on the official social media pages of the media company. The Kapuso network expressed grief for losing one of the most respected news personalities in the Philippines.

“It is with profound sadness that GMA Network announces the passing of our beloved Kapuso, Mr. Miguel “Mike” C. Enriquez, who peacefully joined our Creator on August 29, 2023,” the network stated.

GMA also said that management and employees are mourning the death of the veteran broadcaster. The network also highlighted the huge contribution that Mike had in the broadcast industry. “We pray for the eternal repose of our beloved Kapuso,” GMA stated.

Aside from being a news anchor and host of his public service program, Mike Enriquez also served as the President of RGMA Network, Inc. and GMA Network’s Senior Vice President and Consultant for Radio Operations.

He also had radio programs such as DZBB’s “Super Balita sa Umaga” and “Saksi sa Dobol B.” The veteran journalist started his career in the broadcast industry in 1969. He joined the Kapuso network back in 1995 and remained in GMA. Mike Enriquez served the Filipinos through his career in broadcasting for 54 years.
