A Facebook user named Jericho Aldueza has shared the photo of his astonishing pixie-cut portrait. The post quickly circulates online and elicits reactions from the internet users.
In the photo, the artwork showcases a meticulously detailed portrait characterized by a pixie cut hairstyle that appears incredibly lifelike. The artist brings his graphite on board masterpiece to life.
Aldueza decided to embrace the difficulty of capturing hair realistically and make it the focal point of his work although many artists are struggling with it.
“Kalimitan po kaseng struggle ng mga artist eh sa buhok, kaya naisipan ko na doon po mag-focus. At saka, tamad din po ako tumapos ng isang artwork kaya buhok lang po talaga dino-drawing ko,” Aldueza said.
Jericho started experimenting with this unique technique in 2021, often taking the opportunity during vacations to explore innovative approaches. The result is an astonishing piece of art that has captured the imagination of many netizens.

“Nag-start po ‘yung paggawa ko ng ganito noong 2021, every vacation po nagta-try ako naman ng ‘kakaiba,'” he added.
The artist mentioned that it took him about 1 to 2 hours to complete the drawing because such an intricate work of art requires time and dedication. His precise strokes in the drawing demonstrate not only his skill but also his attention to detail.
He is using a ballpoint pen without ink to craft the white strands of hair and graphite pencils and charcoal powder for the shading.
“Ballpen po na walang tinta ang gamit sa paggawa ng mga white strands ng buhok. Sa lapis naman po ay graphite pencil at charcoal powder,”he explained.
