JC Santos received praise for his performance in his new movie with Bela Padilla
Actor JC Santos talked about his “Jaclyn Jose” moment in the movie Wish You Were The One, his new project with actress-director Bela Padilla.
This is not JC and Bela’s first project together. They first worked in films that made a lot of moviegoers cry, believe in love again, and continue to hope to find the right one. The two celebrities will once again give outstanding performances in their new movie.
Based on the article in PEP, JC has his own Jaclyn Jose moment in the said movie. The veteran actress had an outstanding performance in the movie Ma’ Rosa in 2016. She has a scene in which she is crying while eating fishballs.
Jaclyn believed that scene made her get the best actress award at the 69th Cannes Film Festival in the same year. In Wish You Were The One, JC Santos has a scene in which he is crying while eating cake.
With all the commendation that he gets for his performance, the actor said, “Thank you! Thank you!” He also said that this is unexpected. “Lahat ng nangyari sa pelikulang yon, itinawid namin and, I think, nag-work siya, lahat ng ginawa namin ni Bela. Pero iba yung ginawa ni Direk Derick Cabrido,” JC shared.
He also shared that he was wondering how he would be able to do the ending because it was too emotional. However, he is thankful that their director helped him. With this, he said, “I’m so proud of our director.”
Direk Derick thanked JC Alcantara for what he said. The director added that it is always a collaborative work. “There’s so much that a director can do but, at the end of the day, it’s the actors pa rin,” he said.
