List of Coding in Manila Including Schedule per City

CODING IN MANILA – Here is a guide on the number coding scheme and the traffic code schedule observed in Metro Manila cities.

One of the main problems in Metro Manila is traffic. The residents are already used to waking up very early in the morning to avoid the long stretch of stuck vehicles on roads. To ease the congestion of vehicles on the road, the Metro Manila Development Authority (MMDA) implements a number coding system.

Aside from the unique zip codes in Manila, another important matter to know is the number coding scheme to prevent getting fined. The coding scheme implemented in Metro Manila is also called the Modified Unified Vehicular Volume Reduction Program or UVVRP. It is a traffic strategy that aims to reduce the number of vehicles on the road to ease the congestion.

Under this coding scheme, only the private vehicles are ordered to follow as the public utility vehicles (PUVs) are exempted. This scheme covers all cities and towns within the Metro except Makati City which has its own coding scheme.
