Kapuso actor-host Paolo Contis has this to say about GMA actors who want to guest in Its Showtime rather than in Eat Bulaga.
The rivalry in noontime shows is definitely on!
There’s EAT on TV5, Eat Bulaga on GMA, and It’s Showtime on GTV and other platforms and channels. While many thought that television is outdated already in this modern time, they seem to be proven wrong with the ratings registered by these shows.
The viewers were divided, indeed. However, between Showtime and EB, it looks like more Kapuso stars are actually wanting to appear in the former program rather than the latter. What does EB host Paolo Contis can say about this?
Was he hurt by this? Was he affected?
In an interview, he expressed that he could not blame this for choosing such because it was their personal decision. They, as hosts, can’t take it against these artists because they might have reasons.
If they’re fine with guesting in their show, it would be good.
He added based on post from PEP, “Kung hindi, e then we have to move on. We cannot take it against them. Ano naman yun, e… hindi kasi normal yung naging circumstance nung buong pangyayari. So, hindi mo sila masisisi.”
To recall, the revamp of EB was a bit controversial. The old set of hosts including the iconic TVJ all left the show because of some internal issues which happened after some changes in the management.
Meanwhile, the “legit dabarkads”, as what people called the old hosts, now have a new show on TV5.
In a previous article, Contis said that he is very careful with his jokes now in the show. This is following the Movie and Television Review and Classification Board (MTRCB) summoning their rivals due to some violations committed.
