It is official! It’s Showtime will air on GTV
Comedian-host Vice Ganda shared this post after it was confirmed that the Kapamilya noontime show It’s Showtime will start airing on GTV which is owned by the Kapuso network.
When ABS-CBN was not able to renew its franchise, it started partnering with different media companies. For the noontime show, the Kapamilya network was able to have a partnership with TV5.
However, based on reports, the contract between the noontime show and the Kapatid network is set to end on June 5. Reportedly, TV5 intended to give the noontime slot to TVJ’s new show.
Following these reports, rumors surfaced that a negotiation happened between ABS-CBN and GTV for It’s Showtime’s airing. Then, Vice Ganda had a “pahiwatag” on the show after the rumored transfer circulated.
On June 20, before noontime, the official Facebook Page of GTV shared an art card featuring the Kapamilya noontime show. “G na G na! Abangan iyan! [blue heart emoji],” the caption of the post stated.
This was followed by “Madlang people, let’s make some noise! [party popper emoji.”
In his Twitter post on Tuesday, Vice Ganda shared the same art card that was posted on GTV’s social media page. The Unkabogable Star wrote this in the caption of his post, “LezzzGo na! G na G na kami!”
In the comment section of Vice’s post, It’s Showtime fans showed their support and excitement. Here are some of the comments.

Meanwhile, as of writing, the show of Tito Sotto, Vic Sotto, Joey de Leon, and the rest of the Dabarkads on TV5 has no final title yet. The camp of the original Eat Bulaga hosts is still fighting a legal battle against TAPE Inc when it comes to the title of the show.
The Kapuso noontime show led by Paolo Contis, Isko Moreno, and many more is still using the Eat Bulaga title.
