Amadeus Fernando Pagente aka Pura Luka Vega is currently controversial because of his “Ama Namin” performance. It did not sit well with a lot of people and religious organizations and groups. Because of this, several cities declared him persona non grata. And recently, more places added to the list like Laguna province, Cagayan de Oro City, Cebu, Dinagat Islands, and Occidental Mindoro.

Controversial Drag Race personality Pura Luka Vega has been declared persona non grata in these places in the Philippines.

Filipino drag queen Pura Luka Vega did the highly controversial “Ama Namin” performance. This has offended a lot of people and a religious group. Some significant personalities called his performance blasphemous and unsalvagable.

Pura Luka’s “Ama Namin” performance was criticized. Because of this, he is facing criminal charges initiated by the Philippines for Jesus Movement.

And the critical comments against him are still being continued. Several cities in the Philippines have actually declared him persona non grata. This means that he is an unwelcome person in these cities.

Here are the places that declared him persona non grata:

  • Bukidnon
    The Sangguniang Panlalawigan has passed a resolution declaring this stating that his performance was blasphemous, offensive, and insulting to the Christian religion. They added that he has also other performances that mocked sacred Catholic imagery, figures, and practices.
  • General Santos City 
    The local government unit of GenSan expressed that he “offended the sensibilities of the Christian community”, demeaned the faith of millions, and disrespected the Catholic church.
  • Floridablanca
    Vice Mayor Michael Galang stressed that his “blasphemous acts” caused “significant distress, offense, and anguish” among Christian residents.
  • Toboso, Negros Occidental
    Former Toboso mayor and current councilor Richard Jaojoco authored the resolution describing his performance as offensive, if not blasphemous.
  • Manila
    The recent one to make him an unwelcome person in their city is the City Of Manila. The council has unanimously agreed to the decision.

Meanwhile, in a previous article, Apollo Quiboloy stressed that extreme actions must be taken as a consequence of what he did.

“Kamukha siya ni Hudas kaya kailangan magbigti na rin siya. Yan lang ang dalawang kalalagyan niya. Kaya nagpapansin lang siya, kaya ginagawa niya yon para mapag-usapan siya,” he said.
