The private resort owner, Kath Llarenas, has revealed that she is using her income to fund her chemotherapy treatment.
Earlier this week, Jeremias Resort in Bucal, Calamba City, Laguna, fell victim to vandalism by disrespectful guests. The group threw chairs, a water dispenser, bottles of liquor, cooking oil, and a barbecue grill into the swimming pool.
These guests left the resort in a chaotic state, depriving future guests of decent facilities to use. Consequently, the owner had no option but to temporarily close the establishment for repairs and maintenance after the incident.
The culprits were identified as employees of Samsung Electro-Mechanics Philippines. Among the identified suspects, Kenneth Dizon and John Carlo Nery took steps to settle the issue, while Alex Perez and Mernard Tornea have yet to release a statement.
Numerous netizens and internet personalities, including Rendon Labador, criticized the guests for their inappropriate and irresponsible behavior. The motivational speaker also urged SEMPHIL to extend assistance to the resort.

Another resort owner disclosed that the group responsible for the destruction offered a compensation of P30,000 in exchange for their forgiveness and a promise to avoid legal consequences. The resort owner agreed to accept the compensation and chose to forgive the group, opting not to pursue any legal actions against them.
The owner is hopeful that the group will issue a public apology to express their remorse for their actions. This act of contrition would not only signify their acknowledgment of their wrongdoing but also serve as a means to share their remorse for the transgressions they committed.
