Female Employee Shares Hilarious Post About Fellow Workers Selling Snacks at Office

A female employee expressed her reaction to her fellow colleague selling mouth-watering snacks in their office.

A Facebook user named Kiks Ventura shared a photo of the delicious snack sold by her fellow officemate. The post immediately spread like wildfire online after being posted on social media.

Ventura posted a delectable spread of ‘puto,’ a traditional Filipino rice cake, beautifully displayed on her office colleague’s desk.  The latter shared that she works in an industry where employees sell goodies as their side hustle.

Kiks’ coworkers offer homemade or locally-sourced delicacies for sale to their colleagues, creating a mini marketplace right within the office.

Instead of approaching the “debts” accumulated from these delicious transactions, the netizen and her colleagues embrace it as an ongoing joke. The workers usually pay their debts every payday.

“I actually ordered the puto pao since it looked enticing naman talaga. I saw it on our page and asked around how to order it. One of my supervisors handed it to me the following day and said ‘ayan na po Madam, order nyo. Sa sweldo po bayad nyan’,” Ventura said.

The practice holds a deeper meaning beyond the laughter and shared experiences. Kiks shares her unconditional support for her coworkers who have turned to side hustles to boost their income

It’s actually an ongoing thing in our office where you see food or any goodies on top of your desk. Then, the next thing you know, may bayarin ka na sa susunod mong sweldo. We do not take it negatively and became an ongoing joke kasi nga, umorder ka man or hindi, may food sa ibabaw nang table mo. Plus, I’m a supporter of people making a living na may side hustle pa,” she added.
