In a post, the daughter of veteran actor Robert Arevalo announced his death.
ROBERT AREVALO – In a Facebook post, Anna Ylagan, the daughter of the veteran actor announced his death and shared details about his wake.
Veteran actor Robert Arevalo whose real name is Robert Francisco Ylagan peacefully passed away at 10:17 a.m. this morning, August 10. Arevalo’s daughter, Anna Ylagan, confirmed this sad news about his passing in a Facebook post.
His film and TV career spanned 60 years and within those years, he also made stints as a news anchor.
He was 85 years old. He is survived by his wife, former veteran actress Barbara Perez and their children.
“We are grateful that He has given us the best Papa one can ever wish for. Thank you for loving us the way you did, Pa. Although our hearts are broken, we are comforted by God’s promise that He has a place reserved for you in His kingdom in Heaven where all of us who believe in His son, Jesus, will one day reunite,” she wrote in her post describing the late veteran actor as the “best Papa one can ever wish for.”
He died due to complications from Parkinsonism.
She is thankful for the love and sympathy from the people as they go through this hard time of loss. They are accordingly “deeply touched and grateful”.
In the same post, she added details about the veteran’s actor wake.
His wake will be over the weekend after his cremation at Arlington Chapels, Araneta Ave. Solace Rooms 1 and 2. It will start from August 12, Saturday, to August 13, Sunday, from 2 pm to 12 am.

Meanwhile, Arevalo was born in Dumaguete on May 6, 1938. He has come from a showbiz family. Veteran director and National Artist Gerardo de Leon and actor-director Angel Esmeralda were his uncles. Jay Ilagan was his nephew and Tito Arevalo was his father. Liberty Ilagan was his niece and actor-director Conrado Conde was his uncle.
