PAGASA Says Enhanced Habagat to Bring Rains Over PH
PAGASA UPDATE – The state weather bureau reported that enhanced southwest monsoon will bring rains over parts of Luzon and Visayas.
On Thursday (August 3, 2023), the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration released the latest weather update in the country. The enhanced habagat will continue to affect the country’s weather condition.
PAGASA reported that Typhoon Falcon continues to enhance the southwest monsoon. It is expected to trigger rains over parts of Luzon.
Falcon has been last spotted 715 kilometers north northeast of Itbayat, Batanes packing maximum sustained winds of 155 kilometers per hour and gustiness of up to 190 kph.
Habagat will bring cloudy weather conditions with scattered rain showers and thunderstorms over Metro Manila, Cordillera Administrative Region, Cagayan Valley, CALABARZON, MIMAROPA, and the rest of Central Luzon.
“Sa ngayon, dahil sa habagat, asahan pa rin ang mga pag-ulan over Zambales, Bataan, at malaking bahagi ng Ilocos Region, occasional rains or paminsan-minsan na pag-ulan. Mag-ingat rin po sa pagbaha at pagguho ng lupa,” Pagasa weather specialist Benison Estareja said.
Partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rain showers or thunderstorms are expected over the remaining parts of the country.
Here is the weather update from PAGASA last Wednesday (August 2, 2023)
